Our PTFA is managed by a voluntary group of parents and staff. We work together to raise extra funds for the benefit of the children, whilst at the same time, bringing together the whole school community to have fun and socialise with each other.
If you have a child at school you are automatically a member of the PTFA and we are always happy for anyone to attend our meetings. If you can’t make the meetings we are happy to add you to our mailing list so we can email you details of the meetings and forthcoming events. Please give your details to a member of the School Office Staff and they will forward them on to us.
Projects we have helped to fund have included:
A whole school trip to a pantomime at Christmas;
Annual Easter Egg hunts;
The play boat on the field;
Playground equipment on the small play ground;
The Year 6 Leaver's barbecue and leaving presents;
High-vis jackets for EVERY child in school to keep them safe on school trips;
‘The Space Dome’ to support Space topic work in class... and so on!
There is always something we are planning to spend our money on!
We run various events throughout the year to pay for all these lovely things - the main two being a Christmas Fayre and a Summer Fete (which is sometimes incorporated into the Village Fete). We also hold regular ‘movie and munch’ nights which have proved to be very popular. We have had occasional sponsored events and quiz evenings, but we are always on the lookout for fresh ideas for fundraising.
We hold meetings about once every 6 weeks which are open to all parents of children at the school. We generally hold our meetings in the pub and we keep the meetings short!
Please come along and join us - we look forward to welcoming you!
